What is Anchor Youth Fridays?
Anchor Fridays gives youth a safe, fun, and engaging space to connect with friends, try new things, and build confidence. Creative projects, group challenges, and youth-driven activities make every night different.
This program is part of BGC Yarmouth’s mission to help young people develop their strengths, discover their talents, and feel supported in reaching their full potential.
Anchor Fridays is proudly delivered in partnership with the Youth Wellbeing Network, bringing youth-serving organizations together to support wellbeing through shared goals to Connect, Collaborate, Communicate, and Create.
What to Expect
• Creative arts and hands-on projects
• Team-building games and friendly challenges
• Social spaces where youth can connect and belong
• Discussion circles to encourage confidence and communication
• Leadership and life skill opportunities
• A healthy meal from 6:30–7:30 PM to fuel the fun
Every session is inclusive, engaging, and guided by youth ideas. Whether someone is outgoing or more reserved, there is always a place for them at the table.
Safety & Participation
We maintain a safe, positive space through:
• Trained staff providing full supervision inside the Club
• Youth-led independence with sign-in/out privileges
• Clear expectations through our Code of Conduct
• Respect for personal belongings
• Flexible support for accessibility and individual needs
Transportation is not provided. If transportation is a barrier, please reach out and we will do our best to support a solution.

Is registration required?
Yes. Space is limited, so registering ahead ensures a spot.
What does it cost?
It is free for youth ages 12–17.
Are meals provided?
Yes. We serve a meal from 6:30–7:30 PM and do our best to accommodate allergies or dietary needs.
Do youth have to stay the entire time?
No. Youth may sign themselves in/out at any time. Once they leave Club property, they are responsible for their own whereabouts and actions.
Can youth bring personal items?
Yes. Youth are responsible for their own belongings.
Do you offer accommodations for accessibility needs?
Absolutely. Please contact us so we can plan supports in advance.
